While we never need a reason for a summer getaway, you can always use the 4th of July as a great reason to visit Moab! This summer holiday is one of our favorite times here in the city, and you can easily see why. Moab will host a variety of fun events, and you will have access to many exciting activities. Take a look at what your 4th of July in Moab can look this year:

4th of July Beehive Bash in Moab

When it comes to throwing a celebratory bash that is worthy of the 4th of July, there is no place better than Moab. One of the biggest celebrations in town is the annual 4th of July Beehive Bash that takes place every year. This two-day celebration showcases our nation’s birthday with some exciting activities. The fun and excitement start the evening of July 3rd with a free movie screening of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. This movie screening is perfect for adult guests, with beers being offered at the showing. Don’t miss out watching this classic film starting at 9:00 PM. The remaining activities will all take place on July 4th starting at 9:00 AM sharp. Join in on the fun for an exciting volleyball tournament that will last until 2:00 PM. Get together a crew and put your skills to the test with this fun yet competitive tournament. A variety of family games and activities will happen from noon to 4:00 PM. Some of the exciting activities included are a dunk tank, bounce house, watermelon eating contest, fire truck water spray, photo booth, and a beer garden for the adults. Later in the evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM the GCHS mountain bike team will be showcasing a fundraiser dinner. Last but certainly not least, the Beehive Bash will end with a free concert from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM with artists Shuffle. All of these exciting activities will take place at Swanny Park located at 100 West and 400 East. Don’t forget to stick around for the dazzling fireworks display that will take place when the concert ends at 9:00 PM. Now that is the 4th of July done right!

4th of July River Parade in Moab

Another incredible annual event that takes place in Moab each year is the 4th of July Rafting Parade. This aquatic event takes place on the Colorado River for a unique experience that you won’t find anywhere else. Just as the name suggests, the event is a parade on the river with local companies decking out patriotic floats to display. The Rafting Parade will take place on the 4th of July and will be available to view at two different times: 8:15 AM and 11:30 AM. Seating is limited for this popular event, so make sure you get to the viewing areas early. Each child in attendance will receive a free 4th of July souvenir just for showing up. Make sure to dress up for the occasion, as the best costume will win an incredible prize! Spots for the 4th of July River Parade in Moab can be booked through Mild to Wild Rafting & Jeep Tours. You can book your rafting experience by calling 970-247-4789. Don’t miss out on this fantastic 4th of July experience exclusive only to Moab!

Exciting Summer Activities

When it comes to a fun and exciting summer season, you simply cannot beat visiting Moab. We are known for a great outdoor season that is full of exciting activities. You can explore the area with hiking or mountain biking. Pick up a mountain bike from a local rental shop or book a mountain bike tour experience. If you want to see Moab from a different angle, you can book a horseback riding experience through the La Sal Mountains. As mentioned, we are nearby the Colorado River so you can expect plenty of boating and rafting. Many visitors come down for the white-water rafting that is some of the best in the state. Look out for white water rafting tours that go through Westwater Canyon or Cataract Canyon. The Green River is also close by and features plenty of rafting options too. If you want to beat the heat, book an early morning ATV or Jeep tour that will take you across the canyons from the comfort of a luxury vehicle. You can also stay cool by visiting a local attraction such as the Moab Film Museum. Local wineries such as Castle Creek Winery produce award-winning wines, so stop by for a tasting or grab a bottle to go. The options are endless when you visit around the 4th of July!

The property was VERY NICE and well maintained. The owners have done a GREAT JOB making sure this home has everything you need while you are traveling. Great location to everything in and around Moab. We will be going back next year and this is the only place we will stay!

Entrada at Moab 598 is a beautiful townhouse within the Moab city, access to shopping, Arches, Zip-lining, Paddle-boarding and ATV rental locations were mere minutes away. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with gadgets for all our cooking and baking needs.

We really enjoyed the property. The kitchen has all the tools you need for cooking. The grill is right off the dining room. The bed we slept in was super comfortable (firm). It appeared to us that it was pretty new. I like the no-shoes in the house rule. It was close to downtown enough that you didn't have to drive far, but far enough from downtown not to hear any noise from it. There were two families next to us (attached by one wall) and we didn't hear a peep. I really like that it's an end unit, with a little privacy wall. I looked at several units online and didn't want one that everyone was walking past to the pool. This place is classy. Well done!

We really enjoyed our stay at Entrada 620! It is clear that Scott and Sarah went the extra mile to provide just about everything one would need for a stay in Moab (Examples include extra towels, kitchen stocked with a wide variety seasonings, etc) Location is very central...close to the downtown scene. We enjoyed taking the "townie" bikes out for dinner! We were an adult only group but tons of families staying in the neighboring units created a fun little weekend neighborhood scene.

Property looks brand new; very clean and convenient. Kitchen is stocked with everything needed. Only caveat is that all bedrooms are upstairs so elderly parents would not have worked. Otherwise, great location for the holiday weekend. Walking distance to Moab aquatic center and Main Street.

The check in process was painless. The internet was fast. The appliances were new. The couch was comfy and the rooms were clean. We highly recommend staying at this townhome. There was an issue with noisy folks in the pool but the management team shut it down within minutes. Literally within minutes. Will be back!

Absolutely amazing property! We had the best time here. The condo is so roomy and is on point with everything you will need and so clean. It fit our family of 8 adults and 4 kids with tons of room left over. Close to Canyonlands, Arches and a new favorite just up the street is Kane Creek Canyon. The pool was also a plus and the proximity to downtown. We tried to do it all but time runs out. Julie was amazing and so accommodating. We loved this place so much we will for sure add it to our VRBO list of yearly vacations.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The condo is great and very comfortable - nice furnishings/decor, a well-appointed kitchen (even for people who like to cook), and many thoughtful touches (e.g., basket of pool towels, 6 townie bikes and helmets for use around town, hose to wash dirty mountain bikes, nice bbq, etc.). The four bedroom layout with 3 full baths is great for a group of family or friends and the location is close to town (bikeable) and also close to the pool and hot tub. We will definitely stay here again!
